University College Dublin

University College Dublin

Belfield, Dublin 4, Ireland
Tel: 353-1-7161701

Location - Dublin

On the eastern seaboard, Dublin is the capital of Ireland and the largest city with a population of over one million. Founded as a Viking settlement, Dublin today is a vibrant, commercial city which is known for its Georgian architecture, its public gardens and parks, its theatres, museums and libraries, lively music sessions and, above all, for its rich cultural and social life.

The University

University College Dublin is Ireland's largest and most richly diversified university. The University provides a broad range of Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees in subjects grouped into 11 faculties (Agriculture, Arts, Celtic Studies, Commerce, Engineering & Architecture, Human Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Law, Medicine, Science, Veterinary Medicine). UCD traces its origins to the Catholic University of Ireland founded in 1854 by Cardinal John Henry Newman, author of the celebrated "The Idea of a University." Since then, the University has played a central role in Ireland's advancement as a dynamic and highly successful European state and has established a long and distinguished tradition of service to scholarship and the community. Today, UCD is a vibrant, modern university situated on a spacious and leafy campus some 3 miles to the south of Dublin city centre. For students, both Irish and international, it is a supportive and stimulating environment in which to spend a period of intellectual and personal development.

One-Year Masters Programs

University College Dublin offers a variety of one-year masters programs. You will need to check the various faculties to see if your area of interest is in a different faculty than it might be in the US.
