September 14, 2016:  Nearly one hundred guests joined US-Ireland Alliance President Trina Vargo and Morgan Stanley’s Caroline McLaughlin, for the annual London reception. This year, it was held at Bentley’s Oyster Bar, the Piccadilly base of Irish chef Richard Corrigan.

The event always draws a cross section of Morgan Stanley Net-Eire members, lawyers, academics, bankers and George J. Mitchell Scholars.

The Alliance’s presence in Hollywood, with the Oscar Wilde Awards, means it draws from the arts community in London as well.  BAFTA Chair Anne Morrison; Pat Crowley, the Hollywood producer behind the Jason Bourne and Jurassic franchises; CAA execs Victoria Fitzpatrick & Lindsey Bender; casting agents Ros and John Hubbard; Young Vic director Joe Murphy; actress Sofia Stuart; and cameraman Ian Fox were among the guests.

Also on hand his year were former British diplomat and author David Barrie; Peter Hewitt, Alderman for the City of London;  Blathnaid Healy of CNN Digital Worldwide; Enterprise Ireland’s Marina Donohoe and Clare Brosnan of the Irish Embassy; renowned rock photographer and long-time photographer of Oasis, Michael Spencer Jones; vineyard owner, Edwin Doran; Ammado founder Peter Conlon; BBC correspondent Joe Lynam; Niamh Kelly of IrishTV; and Andy Rogers, recipient of the Irish Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad.
